About Dr. Herschel Brown
Dr. Herschel Brown is a dedicated advocate for Oklahoma, committed to serving our community and tackling local challenges. He connects with residents, listens to their stories, and focuses on creating a healthier future. Herschel believes every child deserves success and actively supports initiatives that empower families and uplift our youth. Together, we can build a brighter future for House District 99.
Dr. Brown, an Oklahoma City native and proud graduate of Northwest Classen High School and the OU College of Medicine, has dedicated his career to serving his community. After completing a distinguished residency at Emory University and taking on the role of Clinical Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern–Parkland, he made the heartfelt decision to return home.
As an attending physician and Clinical Professor at OU Health, Dr. Brown's influence reaches far beyond the emergency room. He serves as the First Elder at Voice of Hope Church, leads both the Men’s and Health Ministries, and acts as treasurer for the Northwest Classen Academy of Science board. A proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., he has also participated in national disaster relief efforts with DMAT Texas-4.
Dr. Brown's return to Oklahoma is fueled by his belief in the need for dedicated leadership in our district. He shares his life with his wife, Doris, and their four wonderful children: Jordan, Cameron, Kendell, and Bryson.
